Meroë, Temple M 250, the so-called Sun Temple (Kingdom of Kush, Sudan, 1st Century B.C.)

Colloquially, yet erroneously known as the Sun Temple. Possibly a commemorative temple to victory (it's walls were covered in reliefs of military scenes, triumphant soldiers and bound captives). This was a 1st Century BC Kushite temple from the Meroitic Period, located in Meroë (Central Sudan). Probably constructed by Queen Amanitore and King Natakamani.
